The Darjeeling Diocese is composed of the three hill sub-divisions Darjeeling, Kurseong and Kalimpong of the Darjeeling District, the state of Sikkim and the Kingdom of Bhutan. Anugyalaya Darjeeling Diocese Social Service Society is the development apostalate arm of the Darjeeling Diocese and was registered on February 13 th 2001, under the Societies Registration Act XXVI 1961, West Bengal, Registration Number S/1L/2166.

Anugyalaya DDSSS has a core staff of Roshan Rai - Director; Fr. Valentine Rai - Joint Director; Mr. Ashesh Rai - Administrator; Fr. Michael Lepcha - Pragati - Sikkim Director; Ms. Teresa Khawas, Sudip Bomjan, Albert Rai, Rupak Chettri, Ms. Lasang Tamang - Project Co-ordinators; Albert Lepcha - Education Co-ordinator and Ms. Divya Gurung – Education Cluster- Co-ordinator; Marcus Rai and Christopher Lepcha - Agriculture Supervisors; and Ms. Marina Rai – Co-ordinator, HIV/AIDs. |
Anugyalaya functions from Darjeeling and Kalimpong offices and also from Pragati, Tadong in Sikkim. |
The team is also assisted by the other members of Darjeeling Ladenla Road Prerna in the Development Apostalate of the Diocese of Darjeeling. |
Anugyalaya DDSSS is a member of the Darjeeling NGO Network, Association of Bengal Collaborators for Development (ABCD) and the CARITAS family . |
Mr. Pemba Lama, who moved on from this earth on 12 th June 2006, is remembered as Guru, inspiration, pioneer, friend, family, and conscience and core staff member. |
